Paediatrics

Paediatrics provides expert care for all ages from newborn to adolescents. At present, the department has 1 senior consultant, 1 junior consultant and 2 duty doctors assisted by a team of dedicated nurses and paramedical staff. Every day, outpatient work begins at 10 am, and consultant is accessible for these services until 8 PM. On an average every month, we treat 800-1000 children in the outpatient and around 100 children as inpatients. Inpatients are mostly admitted in a spacious well equipped High dependency ward that gives extra support, monitoring and care to children as well as in private rooms. The nursing care is completely satisfactory to both patients and their parents. In consultation with the appropriate super speciality experts, highly specialised care is provided for cases involving paediatric cardiology, neurology, nephrology, and gastroenterology. Our regular free pediatric medical camps in rural areas around Dharmavaram provides patient care as well as educates parents on topics like breastfeeding, immunisations, hygiene etc. which are inevitable for the healthy development of the child. Health awareness and education are provided by the qualified practitioner. All of the other departments also fully support and assist us in case of references. Overall, the paediatrics department runs smoothly because of the unwavering support of all the staff including the doctors, nurses, paramedical workers and the management. The pediatrics division works hand-in-hand with the pregnancy division and the neonatal care. We ensure that your babies are healthy and safe with us by constantly monitoring them for any abnormalities. Early treatments, if required, can do wonders to the overall health of the baby’s health. The neonatal care is equipped with dedicated NICU and advanced phototherapy units, Bubble CPAP machines, infant warmer with fixed cradle, neonatal and Pediatric ventilators. Our expert pediatric doctors work with newborn babies and their mothers to ensure that they are in a good mental space. The doctors screen for early on-set diseases and use medical infrastructure to guarantee a strong life to the babies.The department of paediatrics provides the whole spectrum of outpatient and inpatient services for children up to 14 years of age along with dedicated adolescent services. We are equipped with a fully functional Child Development Care with trained physiotherapists and well-trained nurses for providing immunisation and other services.We also provide 24x7 paediatric emergency services.
